Guna has seemingly moved on from his association with Young Thug and the wider YSL collective, and a new development in the ongoing RICO case. According to a fan account on X, formerly Twitter, Gunna will not be taking a stand in the case.
@ThuggerDaily, an account on X that follows the YSL RICO trial and offers up-close accounts of the matter, shared the latest news surrounding Gunna via the social media network. The account noted that prosecutors will not call it A gift and a curse artist at the booth.
“The State has CONFIRMED that Gunna will NOT be called to the witness stand in the Young Thug & YSL RICO Trial,” wrote @ThuggerDaily. “The judge has ordered the state to trim the list of 700+ witnesses to those they plan to call at this time.”
They added, “Their new list of ~200 witnesses names many co-defendants who have accepted their statements as witnesses they want to call, but not Gunna. That the state is not calling him should come as no surprise to people who have been following the case , but confirmation is good to have. I'll be tweeting the full list later today.”
The full list of state's witnesses can be seen in the tweet below. As far as we can tell, this is as accurate a report as there can be, though we're looking into the details from our end as well. There are many notable names on the list including Birdman, Rich Homie Quan, YFN Lucci and more.
Guna entered an Alford plea in 2022, which meant he pleaded guilty to only one count of racketeering conspiracy, but maintained his innocence.
