When Maren Morris he sang that “the closer you get, you wanna push me,” he really wasn't kidding.
In a new one video interview with Cosmopolitanin which Morris must decide whether to answer a question or drink some alcohol, Morris revealed which celebrity she'd like to “smash” (aka hook up) with. After taking a moment to think about it and saying she didn't want to “put her on the spot”, the singer revealed her celebrity.
“Phoebe Bridgers,” she said shyly. “I feel like most people would say that. So this isn't even controversial. She is just adorable and very hot and incredibly talented. Also, we've only met once. So I'm sorry, Phoebe.”
The reference to pushing comes from Morris' bisexual anthem “Push Me Over,” which she recently Bulletin board inspired by discovering the dynamics of queer dating. “I remember going on a date with this girl and the date was amazing, but I had so many questions about [co-writers] MUNA the next day,” he said. “I really felt like a student and I was, like, with the Professors of Gay.”
Elsewhere in the clip, Morris revealed that as she returned to the dating scene, she had a date with an unnamed celebrity in Raya that didn't go particularly well.
“I don't want to name the person because, it wasn't a hole, but it was like, really love,” he said. “I went on two dates with them and it just wasn't fun. I [felt] like talking, like to my mother or something, like “Why don't you text me?” I was like, “Because I've been on two dates with you and I'm on tour. Work.”
