Netflix is milking it Squid game for all its worth.
In a move that should surprise no one, Netflix is looking to bolster its library of Netflix games by turning the popular Hwang Dong-hyuk series Squid game in a real video game.
Netflix Games VP Mike Verdu made the announcement in a Netflix blog post The game reveal will take place in the universe of the series and will allow players to “compete with other players in the games of the hit series.”
The announcement of the video game comes after its first successful season Squid Game: the Challenge, a game that shows one of 456 contestants walking away with $4.56 million in prize money.
Despite social media calling the show tone-deaf and accusing the streaming giant of not getting the show's message, a second season is on the way.
