Hozier is taking a short break from the road to rest and recuperate. The “Too Sweet” singer informed fans on Monday (August 26) that he was forced to postpone his scheduled show tonight (August 27) in Billings, MT at the First Interstate Arena and Wednesday's (August 28) concert in Casper, Ford Wyoming Center of WY. due to voice problems.
“I want to thank each and every one of you who came to a show during this series, and especially those of you who have shown such kind support over the past few nights while I've struggled vocally to overcome a recent virus. “, the singer wrote in a message to X.
“Although I really enjoy connecting with you all from the stage, my voice just hasn't had a chance to recover properly,” he continued. “It breaks my heart to do this, but I will have to postpone the next two shows…. to give my health and vocal chords every chance to recover for the rest of the tour.”
While the 34-year-old singer did not elaborate on what ails him, he told ticket holders that information about the rescheduled shows will be announced soon. Fans are encouraged to hold onto their tickets, which will be honored on the new dates, or apply for a refund at the point of purchase if they are unable to attend the rescheduled concerts.
Hozier recently released the three piece No show EP, which features songs recorded during the 2023 sessions Unreal Unearth album. Assuming his vocal issues clear up, the singer's next scheduled tour date is Friday (August 30) at Fiddler's Green Amphitheater in Greenwood Village, CO.
