James Morrison’s long-time partner has reportedly died suddenly.
According to editors at The Sun, Gill Catchpole was found dead at the family’s home in Gloucestershire, England on Friday evening. She was 45.
A representative for the singer has not yet commented on the sad news.
However, a source told the outlet that James was “devastated”.
“James is devastated and is being supported by his family. He is holding it together for their girls but has asked for the family to be left alone to grieve in private,” they commented.
The couple shares daughters, Elsie, 15, and Ada, five.
It’s not believed there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
Last year, Gill underwent a transplant surgery after one of her kidneys was only working at 35 per cent.
She had recently opened her own café and catering business.
In November, Gill wrote on Instagram: “What a difference a year makes. This time last year I was having my kidney transplant and a year on after many ups downs and heartache I am here owning my own business. At the start of this year, I myself never saw this coming. For anyone out there struggling I can tell you from experience it does get better.”
James, 39, found fame in 2006 with his hit song You Give Me Something.
