While Hip-Hop culture was riveted and stunned by Kendrick Lamar and Drake's rap war over the weekend, Jim Jones was able to make some news himself as he found himself involved in a physical altercation at Fort Lauderdale International Airport -Hollywood.
According TMZthe “We Fly High (Ballin')” rapper got into an escalator fistfight with two older white men who apparently didn't know Jones had “this life.
In the video provided by TMZ, Jones is seen arguing with a man before picking him up and throwing him down the escalator, where he landed on another elderly man who ended up injured in the melee. Once Jones reached the bottom of the escalator, the brawl continued as another man began punching the Harlem rapper while he was still struggling with the first guy who seemingly started the whole situation.
Per TMZ:
A woman rushes to close the escalator, but the fight continues despite the protests of others hoping to escape the violent scene.
Finally, a pair of officers break up the fight… with Jim quickly letting go of the man he’s holding — who appears to be gushing blood BTW. He protests, shouting, “It's two of them against me,” but allows the officer to lead him away and seat him in a chair.
One of the other people isn't so calm… trying to get away from the sheriff's deputy – though more cops arrive on the scene and stop him from going any further.
We reached out to Jim, who tells TMZ Hip Hop… “I was minding my own business and standing up for myself. They got what they were looking for.'
In the video, Jones kept telling officers that the men attacked him. As he was getting into position, the man Jones was fighting was being belligerent and giving officers a hard time. It seems that Jim Jones was indeed defending himself if this man's behavior was any indication.
Our only question is, where were Jones' men? It's not like he's rolling on his own. If he was with his crew, it would be a wrap for these old people. I am just saying'.
