Justice has partnered with Soundwaves Art Foundation to offer electronic music enthusiasts the opportunity to own a unique piece of art that gives something back.
It would be hard to find a cooler philanthropic organization than Soundwaves, which raises money by developing bespoke pieces of art from the recorded audio waves of songs. The foundation, which turns melodies into triumphs for the greater good, has donated more than $10 million to charities by working with more than 700 musicians, including Outkast, Elton John, Dolly Parton, Pearl Jam and many others. They have also collaborated with ODESZA, Flume, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Fatboy Slim and The Chemical Brothers, among many other illustrious electronic music artists.
Soundwaves has now joined forces with the legendary Justice, who just released one of the best dance albums of the year, HyperdramaThe band's 2007 song “Genesis,” the opener on their influential debut album. Crossis crystallized in the foundation’s pioneering art format. Each print is both a tangible echo of the deeply influential song and a visual representation of its timeless French electro, which has redefined dance floors for two decades.
But it’s not just about aesthetics. Autographs by Justice’s Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay elevate these pieces into rarefied territory, making them coveted items for collectors and music aficionados alike. The prints, of which there are only 50 available, were signed before the duo’s show at the Brooklyn Navy Yard on July 25, says Soundwaves director Jeremy Klitzman. EDM.com.
This collaborative effort not only showcases Justice's musical prowess, but also harnesses the power of their signature sound to drive positive change. All proceeds from sales of the prints will benefit War child in the UKa non-governmental charity “that works to protect, educate and defend the rights of children caught up in war.”
Autographed prints are on sale for $300. Unsigned prints are also available for $75 and each is signed by Soundwaves founder Tim Wakefield.
