While Kanye West's Yeezy sneakers are still a hot commodity in the sneaker community, his clothing collaboration with GAP doesn't seem to be enjoying the same popularity as his adidas outfit.
Still, Kanye isn't about to let his YZY GAP collection just sit in a warehouse somewhere and rot, so he's decided to restock some of the collection's pieces on his website at YEEZY.com for the low price of a Andrew Jackson. . That's right, surprisingly, Kanye threw everyone off when he suddenly dumped several items from his GAP collabo on his site for $20 a pop, and while many of the pieces look basic, you can basically buy an entire wardrobe for the price of a single pair of Yeezy's .
The move comes just weeks after Ye also dropped the price of his stand-alone 'Yeezy Pod' sneaker from $200 to $20 after receiving criticism over the quality and size released online. Knowing he succeeded in his latest venture, Ye even returned $180 to customers who pre-ordered the combat sneakers.
Now that Kanye West's name is back on these streets as his collaboration album with Ty Dolla $ign, Vultures, continues to be a hot topic in Hip-Hop culture, Ye hopes to capitalize on the buzz and move whatever merchandise he can right now. Whether you support him or cancel him, Kanye still has a loyal following that will devour anything he drops whether it's music, clothing or conspiracy theories. With this thing, the man decided to release his GAP collection at an attractive discount and it seems to have been the smart move as sales have increased from an otherwise mediocre capsule collection (no shots).
