Kelly Clarkson proved once again that she really can sing anything.
The superstar opened her self-titled talk show on Tuesday (April 30) with a cover of Post Malone's “Chemical.” Dressed in a band tee, red maxi skirt and sleek ponytail, Clarkson effortlessly hit the high notes of the chorus, backed by her instrumentalists, whom she affectionately calls My Band Y'All.
“Outside the party, smoking in the car with you/ Seven Nation Army, bar fighting with you/ Tell you I'm sorry, tell me what to do/ 'Cause I can't let it go, it's chemical,” he sings on track, which appeared on Post's 2023 self-titled album, Austin.
Post Malone took the stage with Morgan Wallen when the latter headlined Stagecoach on Sunday night (April 28), and the duo played a new song called “I had some help”. Position previously teased the uptempo track on social media, highlighting lyrics like “I had some help/ It's not like I can do this mess by myself/ Don't act like you ain't helping me get that bottle off the shelf They say teamwork makes the dream to work”.
Wallen and Malone have yet to reveal a release date for the collaboration. In the meantime, watch Kelly Clarkson perform Post Malone's “Chemical” below.
