Kendrick Lamar rocked what many are calling the best hip-hop concert of the year, and the good vibes kept flowing during the “Not Like Us” video shoot in his hometown of Compton this weekend. Taking to social media, many were able to see some behind-the-scenes footage of Kendrick Lamar in the Hub City enjoying the glow delivered by The Pop Out concert.
The momentum Kendrick Lamar managed to build after engaging in a war of words with Drake culminated in him topping the charts with “Not Like Us,” a fiery Mustard-produced diss track that became meme fodder . wheels and more.
Last week The Pop Out concert in Inglewood, California on Juneteenth, K-Dot lined up several West Coast gigs, including his former Top Dawg Entertainment collaborators in ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock, proving there was no love lost between them.
Additionally, other LA mainstays were in attendance at the Kia Forum at YG, DJ Hed, Tommy The Clown, Roddy Ricch, Ty Dolla $ign and more. There were also images of Dot talking to his former boss, Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, and TDE president Punch.
A video for “Not Like Us” was rumored to be shot in Compton over the weekend, and now we've got plenty of footage and reactions online that suggest it's all been confirmed on X, ex-Twitter. The film crew shot footage of famous Compton locations such as Tam's Burgers along with other highlights.
