King Gizzard and Lizard Wizard have announced a US orchestral tour taking place in the summer of 2025. They have also shared “Phantom Island” and confirmed a 3-day camping festival in Colorado called Field of Vision that will take place at the end of his tour of the United States.
The prolific Australian group has played hundreds of shows, but has never before performed with a 28-piece orchestra. Led by Sarah Hicks, King Gizzard will be accompanied by a handful of different orchestras for each show on their tour. The summer orchestral performance series will end with Field of Vision, a new 3-day residency at Meadow Creek in Buena Vista, Colorado, taking place August 15-17. The orchestral and Field of Vision shows will be King Gizzard and Lizard Wizard's only year-round U.S. shows.

The seven-date 2025 “Phantom Island” orchestral tour will kick off July 28 in Philadelphia and continue in New Haven and New York City. After a non-orchestral show at Forest Hills Stadium in New York City on August 2, the orchestral tour will continue in Maryland, Illinois and Colorado, ending with a show in San Diego on August 11. Tickets for King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard's 2025 orchestral tour (excluding the Highland Park, Illinois date) go on sale Friday, November 1 at 11:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster as well as that of the band website.
In addition to announcing the tour, King Gizzard and Lizard Wizard have shared a new song, “Phantom Island.” Continuing with the orchestral theme, “Phantom Island” features a string section, trumpets and auxiliary percussion, and much more.
