Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe has announced a book tour supporting his upcoming memoir, Just Beyond the Light: Making Peace with the Wars Inside Our Head, out February 18th.
Each evening will feature spoken-word performances and readings by Blythe, in addition to a Q&A portion and signing. Dates run from February 19th in Philadelphia through March 14th in San Diego.
A Live Nation ticket pre-sale for select dates begins Thursday (December 12th) at 10 a.m. PT using the code JOY. General ticket sales start Friday (December 13th) at 9 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster. Additional ticket information can be found on Blythe’s website.
“I’m stoked to hit the road in support of my new book, Just Beyond the Light — this will be my first solo tour, and without a band behind me, what can people expect?” mused Blythe via a press release. “Well, a little bit of book talk… and a bunch of insane stories from my whacked-out life, obviously. I’ll also be answering some questions and signing stuff after — see ya there, ladies and gents!”
Just Beyond the Light (pre-order here) is the second book from Blythe following 2015’s Dark Days: A Memoir, which recounted the singer’s imprisonment for alleged manslaughter in the Czech Republic and subsequent acquittal.
The follow-up will focus on different aspects of Blythe’s life throughout the years, with publisher Hachette Book Group describing the book as “a riveting and revelatory memoir about self-development and maintaining proper prospective through difficult times.” In his own words, Blythe called it a “tight, concise roadmap of how I have attempted to maintain what I believe to be a proper perspective in life, even during difficult times.”
