According to the publication, ticket holders received messages from Live Nation on Tuesday (August 6) that read: “Your event has been cancelled. A refund will be issued to your account shortly.” At the time of publication, no reason has been given for the cancellation.
The 21-date trek was scheduled to kick off Friday (August 9) in Tampa, Florida, and run through the next few months, concluding on October 22 at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. The Miseducation Anniversary tour was previously postponed in November after Hill revealed she was struggling with vocal issues. “As many of you may know, I have been struggling with severe vocal strain for the past month. I made it through every show by taking prescription prednisone, but that can be harmful to the body when taken in large amounts over long periods of time,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “To prevent any long-term negative effects on my voice and body, I need to take time off to allow for real vocal recovery so I can come off the medication completely.”
