Beatles fans can now party and sleep like the band at the Casbah Coffee Club, where they often played during their early days, by booking it on Airbnb.
Over six decades after original drummer Pete Best’s mother opened the basement Liverpool venue in their family home, Best and his brother Roag have converted the property into a five-apartment rental. Find out more details and book your stay here.

The rooms above the club have been transformed into suites named after John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, original bass guitarist Stuart Sutcliffe, and Best himself. There’s no room named after Best’s replacement Ringo Starr, who wasn’t a member of the group when the venue was open.
Meanwhile, the walls of the rooms are tastefully decorated with Beatles memorabilia like photographs, posters, and guitars. The club itself has mostly been preserved with drum kits still on display and “John I’m back” scrawled into the ceiling.
Mona Best opened the Casbah Coffee Club in the basement of their family home in 1959 after winning a bet on the 1954 Epsom Derby. One of the first bands to receive a residency was Beatles precursor The Quarrymen, who played the venue 13 times.
In 1960, the band rechristened themselves as The Beatles, and Pete Best was hired as the drummer. They would play at the Casbah Coffee Club more than 40 times before the venue closed in 1962.
“With the advent of the Casbah opening, which was 1959, it was guaranteed that there’d be a party every Saturday night. And hence that’s why the unique expression is, The Beatles played here, The Beatles partied here and The Beatles slept here,” Best told PA news agency.
The Bests’ Airbnb began taking bookings in early August, but it wasn’t officially launched until this Wednesday (August 21st).
In other Beatles news, Paul McCartney will begin his tour across South America and the UK/Europe in October. Tickets can be purchased here.
