ITZY's Lia was excited to rejoin the group ahead of their upcoming comeback. Fans were in for a surprise when Lia appeared with a new hairstyle during their fifth anniversary live broadcast, and JYP Entertainment released a statement on the group's official app. “After careful discussion with Lia, we decided to return to activities, starting with ITZY's new album, which is scheduled to be released in the second half of the year, but the team will complete any planned events with the current four members until their new album.”
Lia has been on a hiatus from the group since September, missing their latest mini album, Born to beand her world tour. JYP said it was prioritizing her mental health, and now Lia's symptoms of tension and anxiety have greatly improved through treatment and rest.
