In case you've been living under a rock or just woke up from a coma, last night Lil Yachty had a public meltdown on Instagram Live with former artist Karrahbooo and his podcast co-host and friend Mitch.
First, a clip from his podcast A safe place went around him, Mitch and Ki Glock talking to try to understand why some people want what others have when things got awkward. “Some people have to eat, they have to feed their family, whatever the case may be,” Yachty said. “That's when the fighting part comes into play because sometimes, unfortunately, you don't want to put in the work and you just want what you've got. And that's a whole different conversation because I wasn't rich forever.” Adding, “I've been broke before, so who am I to tell this n—a not to go do what you gotta do.
Mitch disagreed and said you can give them different advice.” However, Yachty responded: “Like what? You never had a job. How about getting a job?' The Atlanta rapper then brought up what Mitch would be doing with his life if it weren't for Yachty and all Key Glock could do was sit there in silence.
Naturally, Rap Twitter had a field day with the clip in question and blasted Yachty for being a bad friend. Boat addressed the viral clip during his IG Live session and stated that he started the podcast to help his friend and said he was ending it because Mitch wouldn't stand up for him on social media. “I don't wanna do no motherf—king podcast, n—a, I'm an af—king rapper.”
Mitch then went to X to clear the air, suggesting that he and Yachty joke around and are often brutally honest with each other.
As for Karrahbooo, a waitress at Red Lobster set this whole night on fire. X user @C_Staxxz claimed the former Concrete Boy member walked into the restaurant chain to buy some Cheddar Bay biscuits and said she was kicked out of the group after being asked why she left. The user also claimed that Karrahbooo told her that they “were really mean to her and bullied her a lot.”
Those two now-deleted tweets upset Yachty so much, he decided to go Live and finally address the situation. He responded by saying: “Tell people how you verbally abuse people. Don't go here to make it look like the niggas kicked you out… do they bully? Brother, go and tell the people how you talk to people… You talk to people as if they are small, as if they are beneath you.”
He then claimed that he wrote all her lyrics and styled her and the other members of the Concrete Boys. “I wrote every f–king verse you've ever done,” he said. “I dressed you. I dressed all five – like, bro. I dressed to five n—like every time we left the house. I put an outfit on everyone. I put eight carat earrings in everyone's ear. I put three chains round your neck.'
Adding, “We bought a Cartier watch. I gave you the chrome Rolex, bro. You were waiting tables… What are we talking about, eh? I changed your mother's life—king and you're here lying, “We bully you”… That didn't wake me up, bro. You got me up, bro. You are disrespectful, brother. You talk people crazy. You tell people it's nothing. You tell people you're going to spit on them. You tell people they're poor and you talk with my f-king crazy label. You claim I stole money from you. How do they steal your money? You haven't made any money.”
He continued, “That's the problem with you young artists. You all become more popular than your actual music. You $900,000 total and I got every f-king receipt.” Boat was then brought up its viral On the radar free and said he was trying to make her pop and he succeeded. “I dropped the beat, I put 808s on your verse specifically, so when it got to your hand and the beat dropped, everybody would be like, 'That girl is the craziest.'
For whatever reason, Boat finds himself in these situations and went so far as to claim that he was going to stop talking on the Internet. “I'm not talking anymore,” Yachty said on Instagram Live last month. “I have nothing more to say. I'm off this internet. I think I'll be gone for the rest of the year. I swear to God. I have nothing else to say.
Karrahbooo hasn't replied yet.
