Aiming to always be unapologetically himself, Kevin Sihwan's style is a mix of new school and old school. The rising South Korean producer returns after a brief hiatus with his new self-released single 'Tonight'.
Proud to fly the flag of his native South Korea, Kevin Sihwan is looking to further establish himself as one of the most sought-after producers stateside and abroad. You'll hear the classic big room influence on “Tonight”, yet the production quality suggests a producer who embraces modern sound design and a slightly more futuristic style. It has a classic Tomorrowland feel, creating fond festival memories. Sihwan's goal is to be stress-free, to create without limitations or boundaries. His music reflects this borderline cavalier attitude towards his art. But this should not be taken as a lack of focus. It is the freedom that unleashes his creativity. “I always try to experiment by making new sounds, fearlessly pushing the boundaries of genre and style,” he shared in a press release. In an industry ripe for imitation, his willingness to challenge the status quo is refreshing and admirable.
“I prefer to focus on vibes and making my songs as danceable as possible than making good lyrics. Even if the lyrics are good, if the vibe isn't good enough, I've found that I can't play it in my sets anyway.”
