Mason Talbot has returned to House Hats with “Fuck You”, a song for anyone who has ever been disappointed by someone who didn't walk the walk they talked about.
Brimming with bravado, this unapologetic Bassline track isn't your average breakup ballad, and it throws shade with its sharp lyrics. Talbot's raw production reflects his determination with a propulsive bass and a four-in-a-floor rhythm that doesn't let up.
Meanwhile, our lyricist doesn't wallow in self-pity, instead sticking up two defiant middle fingers and delivering her message with a clear focus on moving forward. In case its title wasn't a telltale sign, “Fuck You” isn't about crying over spilled milk, but about shaking off the dust and confidently leaving the past behind.
