The EDM.com Class of 2021 member has released a new single, “Drugs,” marking her debut on Seven Lions' Ophelia Records label. After adopting a more pop sound on last year's debut album, the song finds Luci returning to her bass roots.
Her ethereal vocals fuse effortlessly with her glitchy production, cultivating a rich soundscape littered with spinning synths and punchy bass. This time, Luci's lyrics are heartfelt and moving, describing how intoxicating love can be by comparing it to a drug as she seeks to maintain the high.
“Drugs” arrives alongside an enchanting music video that further drives the love narrative that Luci has masterfully captured. Her video sees her and her co-star frolicking through a field as the scene shifts to a room and balcony bathed in color.
