Luke Bryan's Crash My Playa will return for a milestone 10u year, when the five-time Entertainer of the Year winner and his fellow artists take over the Moon Palace Cancun Resort in Cancun, Mexico, for four days of music, sun, sand and fun on January 15-18, 2025.
Bryan will headline two nights during the all-inclusive concert holiday, but the lineup also includes three-time ACM Entertainer of the Year winner Jason Aldean, who returns for a third time, as well as 11-time Billboard Country No. Airplay. Kane Brown, who debuts on Crash My Playa in 2025. The lineup also includes Bailey Zimmerman, Dustin Lynch, Dylan Scott, Elle King, Jackson Dean, Nate Smith, Dasha, Ella Langley, Tucker Wetmore and DJ Rock .
Brian, who has amassed a total of 21.3 billion career streams and 26 Advertising sign Country Airplay The chart-toppers have consistently built the event into a must-attend getaway that welcomes an average of 5,000 attendees each year. For Bryan, the lasting impact of the festival is special given his deep involvement in the very origins of Crash My Playa.
“Since day one, we have partnered with Playa Luna [Presents]says Brian Advertising sign. “At the time, they said, 'Luke, do you want to take the money or do you want to build it and own it?' I was so glad I decided to build it and own it, because it's something I'll look back on and be one of the proudest things I've been a part of. First year, I will never forget when I saw the actual concert venue and looked at how beautifully everything was lit and how well. My first thought was, “These fans are going to have one of the best [four-day periods] of their lives, because everything exceeded even my expectations.”
It's not just the fans who get excited when they attend Crash My Playa — the artists do too.
“Artists will hear about Crash My Playa and how much fun it is, and they'll come up to me and say, 'Hey, can we come be a part of this?'” Bryan says. “I did some stuff on TV with Kane. [Brown], and he says, “I want to do Crash My Playa,” and I said, “Well, we can set it up and book it now.” So it was fun being the promoter of my own festival, but it's fun when the artists come down and it lives up to their expectations.”
For Bryan, the leader of a decade of music, sunny memories he's gathered from the earlier years of Crash My Playa are the times when he and his bandmates were able to relax and feel comfortable — even if that meant something informal, silly moments on stage.
“I'll never forget the year that me, Jason Aldean, Lee Brice and Charles Kelley got on stage,” Bryan recalls. “I had toured with Jason Aldean for many, many years and I had never heard him lose his voice, but we were all like wolves in the wild. So that told me we might have had a little too much tequila down there, but we knew we had a great time when the singers lost their voices trying to do covers. But it was a very funny moment and thank God it never went viral.”
In addition to music, the concert vacation includes an array of sports, games, pool parties, wellness activities and more, with past years' activities including ATVs, zip lines, snorkeling, beach volleyball and pickleball tournaments.
“We always have a big group of friends and family come down,” says Bryan. “It's nice to go down there and get out in the sun and get your vitamin D and feel good and have some margaritas. So most of the time we just sit there and sit by the pool and play music.
“I once learned to windsurf there and that didn't go well,” he adds with a laugh. “That's how I stopped windsurfing.”
Notably, despite the ever-growing popularity of the ACM Award-nominated event, package prices remain consistent with last year.
“I want fans to come down there and go, 'Wow, it was twice as good as we expected and we can't believe we got all this for this package. [price]Brian noted. “Every time our inflows increased and where we had to spend more money on this or that, I took it out of my own pocket and never passed it on to the fans. I could have raised the ticket prices by 20% and repaid something else, but we chose not to. If things get a little bit more expensive, I take it on the chin and I think that's the right way to go about it.”
General bidding for the event will begin on June 28 at 3 p.m. ET at crashmyplaya.com. Past participants will have early access through an alumni pre-sale starting at 11am. EDT on June 28. Fan club members for Bryan, Aldean, Brown and Lynch will also have the opportunity to purchase pre-sale packages on June 28 at 2 p.m. EDT.
After a decade, and having firmly established Crash My Playa as one of the premier artist-driven country music events, Bryan says he's always focused on ways to “innovate and keep it fresh and new. I have to say I've thought about a Crash My Maui or a Crash My Bahamas, so if we can take that and go mobile… and always, it's all about the fan experience for me. As long as we have continued support from them and everyone is excited, we'll always do what we can to stay ahead of the curve on this.”
