Mariah Carey has announced the death of her mother and sister, who tragically passed away on the same day last weekend.
In a statement to TMZCarey confirmed the news that her mother, Patricia, and sister, Alison, passed away on the same day. “My heart is broken over the loss of my mother this past weekend. Tragically, my sister also passed away on the same day,” Carey shared.
“I feel incredibly blessed to have spent the last week with my mother before she passed away,” Carey added. “I deeply appreciate everyone's love, support, and respect for my privacy during this unimaginable time.”
Carey did not reveal the cause of death for either her mother or her sister.
