New York City Mayor Eric Adams isn't exactly on the good side of the great people of the city that never sleeps. But it looks like he finally said something that all New Yorkers can get behind, as he floated the idea of recalling Sean 'P. Didi' Cobb's Key to the City.
As reported by PIX11, the embattled Mayor of the Big Apple was disgusted and horrified by the video of Diddy assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, and is actually considering taking back the key to the city Diddy was blessed with just last year. At the time he was given the key to the city, Diddy had yet to be hit with lawsuits from both Cassie and Lil Rod, who accused the Bad Boy Records founder of all kinds of disturbing activities, including sex trafficking.
Although Diddy has maintained his innocence for the past few months, the video of him punching Cassie in a hotel hallway was enough to get them to turn their backs and apologize) and it looks like Mayor Eric Adams will be the last. to do.

“I think we were all deeply moved to see this horrifying video of the young lady being attacked by him. The committee and the team have never revoked a key before, but now we're sitting down to see what the next steps are going to be going forward,” Adams said.

Diddy, who is under federal investigation and facing widespread abuse and sexual assault charges, apologized for his behavior in the video and said he is “committed to being a better person.”

Whether or not Diddy actually has to return the key is anyone's guess. Lord knows it doesn't really open any doors anywhere, but it will be interesting to see what kind of statement Adams releases once it's decided and whether or not Diddy will send back the key he was given in 2023.
