Prior to the album's release, Virtual Riot teamed up with Rezz to release “Give in to You”, a mid-tempo hit that catapulted to meteoric popularity immediately upon its release. Their transformative track “Believe What You Want” also reached fans in late September, setting up an assist for today's slam dunk.
The title track, “Stealing Fire,” showcases the wildest (pun intended) elements of house and trap, flowing between the two in a perfect display of the album’s variety. “Star Destroyer” follows suit with digitized melodies set to the rhythm of lasers fired from a cosmic ship, and its second installment promises nothing less than a diversified experience.
He then cranks up the BPM on “Scorched Earth,” which keeps the promise of its title with a volcanic explosion of four-on-the-floor beats, while “Nights On Fire (2024)” electrifies the album with liquid drum and bass spin. . Amidst the wild ride, “New Energy” also lives up to its title with smooth, flowing melodies that bring a refreshing tenderness to steal fire. “Holding On To Smoke” follows the same vein with its whimsical production and Raven Gray’s vocals.
