Nicki Minaj canceled a scheduled set at the SAGA festival in Romania on Sunday night (July 7) after the rapper said her security team warned her of potential trouble over a protest reportedly planned in Bucharest on Monday (July 8).

The MC did not specify what the safety concerns were, and at press time a representative had not returned a request for additional information about the reason for the show's cancellation. Additionally, at press time there appeared to be few reports of a protest in Bucharest on Monday.

The news has left us all devastated and we know it is a huge disappointment for you all, as it is for us.' Organizers have reportedly said all unscanned tickets for Sunday's sold-out festival will be refunded.
The MC also reportedly ran into some trouble during her show at Malahide Castle near Dublin, Ireland on Saturday night when fans complained she took the stage late and performed a short set. The Irish Independent reported that some Barbz were demanding full refunds after Minaj was said to have made fans wait in the rain for 45 minutes before taking the stage after 10pm local time, then cut the concert short after 45 minutes. Other reports place the scene's time between 60-63 minutes. Before the show, producer MCD Productions noted in publication X that “Nicki Minaj's set is due to start at 8.20pm”, noting that “curfew with curfew is at 10.30pm”.
Typical set times on Minaj's current tour range between 60 and 75 minutes according to setlist.fm and it appeared the rapper performed for just over an hour in Dublin after being played by tour DJ DJ Boof.
Minaj posted a series of photos from the set in Dublin – which he called “#GagCityDUBLIN” – with followers taking to the comments section to express their frustration with both shows. “Girl when will you come to Romania if you didn't watch the epic?” wrote about the concert in Romania, with one Irish fan adding: “You have no respect for your fans @Nicki Minaj really awful 100€ to get wet in the rain to play for 40 minutes wow this is really shocking!!! No manners little children badly disappointed you have no morals woman !!!! I hope all your future shows are boycotted.”
In another Post on Instagram with footage of Minaj getting ready to take to the stage in Dublin, fans continued to complain about the show, with one writing: 'Worst gig ever, got on stage at 9.50, kept fans waiting in the rain, carried on to have long costume changes, many fans left disappointed,” with another saying, “The real reality?…. “Dublin is mad because he turned up hours late and people had to leave because they were standing in the rain for hours waiting.”
While Minaj hasn't made any additional statements beyond the one regarding the show in Romania, the rapper cryptically posted a series of images of the terrifying Chucky from Child's toy movies about her Account X no further comments late Sunday night.
This isn't the first hiccup on the tour. Minaj was arrested in Amsterdam in May on her way to perform in the UK at Manchester's Co-Op Live after being detained by Dutch police who reportedly found “dozens of joints” in her luggage. shortly after, Minaj canceled a scheduled June 2 appearance at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam.
The next concert on Minaj's Pink Friday 2 tour is scheduled for Friday (July 12) at the Wireless festival in London.
