Nicki Minaj has been spiraling ever since she heard Megan Thee Stallion's new song 'Hiss'.
Meghan released the track on Friday and received an almost immediate backlash from Minaj, who seems to think she (and her convicted sex offender husband) are being dissed in a particular verse.
In the hours since the fall, Minaj has tweeted multiple times about Meghan, calling her a liar, a failure, while claiming she doesn't “endorse 'bullying'.” 3,100 character post on Friday X and an Instagram live Thursday night, Minaj took aim at Meghan, claiming the rapper lied about being shot by Tory Lanez.
“Fresh ACTOR who can't cry don't try to play book he's a steak,” Minaj wrote. “Pathological and manipulative liar.”
The night “Hiss” dropped, Minaj teased a song on Instagram Live where she raps, “Bad bitch, like 6 foot, I call her Bigfoot, bitch dropped, I said get up on your good foot.” Minaj laughs after the line and later photos they posted on Twitter of her legs. Lanez was sentenced to 10 years behind bars for shooting Megan in the legs.
While it's unclear which lyrics in Megan's song “Hiss” are about Minaj, fans believe she's mad about the line, “These hoes ain't mad at Megan, these hoes are mad at Megan's Law.” The verse refers to the federal legal requirement that convicted sex offenders appear on a registry. Minaj's husband was convicted of attempted rape by force or fear in the mid-90s and served four years in prison. In 2021, he was sentenced to one year of house arrest, along with probation, and a $55,000 fine for failing to register as a sex offender in California.
Petty violated his probation and was placed under house arrest once again for “making threatening comments to a particular person while in the company of someone with a criminal record” in September 2023.
“I don't really know what the problem is, but I guarantee you don't want me to start,” Megan continues at the bar. “Bitch, you a pussy (You're a pussy), never check me out (Yeah)/Every chance you get, I bet your weak ass ain't on me.”
Megan proceeded Breakfast Club Friday morning and said the song was about “those bitches and hoes, men or women.”
“Every time one of these moms uses the name Megan Thee Stallion, it gets 24 hours of attention,” she said, before adding, “I say, a hit dog gon'lller. This is. Whoever feels it, let him feel it.”
In her incredible post on Friday, Minaj listed some accolades for Pink Friday 2before comparing its success Barbie'Barbie World' to 'Hell No!' Megan's. from The Color Purple. He also accused Meghan of winning “fraudulent awards,” possibly referring to her Grammy wins since Meghan has three while Minaj has none, and repeatedly described the Houston rapper as a “failure.”
“Using ghostwriters and still SUCK,” Minaj wrote. “Well, it's not me. I would never do that.”
She then claimed she was an “aristocratic rich lady” and blamed her shade towards Meghan on her gay man alter ego, Roman. “#Roman seems to be in one of those 'moods' right now,” he wrote. It's unclear when the two rappers started feuding. They collaborated in the summer of 2019 on “Hot Girl Summer” with Ty Dolla $ign following the success of Megan's Fever.
