The Nitepunk of yesteryear is no more.
That was the message of Nitepunk, one of EDM.comThe best music producers of 2023, sought to deliver early after releasing a brave trailer in which he triumphs over his former self in an intense confrontation.
Nitepunk then released “Steps On You (Peep My Style)” shortly after, and it's seemingly more evident than ever that he's hell-bent on pushing the limits of his game. A furious mix of trap and dubstep with tinges of garage rock influence, Nitepunk's latest is not a complete reinvention of what fans know and expect, but rather an evolved form of their signature style.
On social media, he reflected on the trials and tribulations of his 2023 breakthrough while also expressing optimism about the chapter ahead.
“Last year everything happened so fast, starting with the debut album, a huge heartbreak, and then an insane touring schedule, releases piling up, so much so that my team and I could barely keep it all together and at the end of the year I was more than exhausted in every way,” Nitepunk shared. “We learned a lot from it and I actually took the time to fix my life and get to a better place, the music and the ideas started flowing more and now we're here.”
