“New Era. Same Besties,” Hilton and Richie share about their upcoming series Peacock
The Simple Life has become much sweeter to Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie in the two decades since the reality TV series aired. For five seasons, the socialites took on low-paying jobs, strangely accidentally setting the difficulty level at an all-time high for two people who didn't really need a resume boost. Since then, Hilton and Richie haven't spent much time building their resumes with fast food gigs or camps, but they've continued to nurture their friendship — and now they're ready to reunite on screen.
On Monday, Hilton and Richie shared the first official teaser for their upcoming reality series, which will premiere on the Peacock. “New era. Same Besties,” the OG influencers shared in a combined Instagram post. “Coming soon to Peacock.”
Few details have been released about how the series will be structured, but it marks Hilton's second collaboration with Peacock. In November 2021, the streaming service premiered Paris in love, a reality series that has clocked two seasons so far. The show followed Hilton as she prepared to marry Carter Reum and welcome their first child, a baby boy. Now 43, she has since welcomed a second child, her first daughter, via surrogate.
Likewise, Richie also has two children with husband Joel Madden. The actress and Good Charlotte member have been married since 2010. Richie's recent filmography includes appearances in Good Burger 2 and Don't tell mom the babysitter died, as well as an upcoming appearance in Castille's comedy Landon Camp.
Earlier this week, Hilton teased her reunion with Richie on social media when she shared a collage of photos taken over the years. From Day 1: Sill and Bill,” she captioned the photos.
