It's been years since the popularity of Popeye's signature chicken sandwich led to all kinds of hype and violence on these streets, and even though things have calmed down since then, some people still don't know how to act when they walk into the establishment with fried chicken.
According to USA Todaya Popeyes employee fought and stabbed an unruly customer after they had an argument over the customer's order in question and it had nothing to do with the famous chicken sandwich. The incident occurred just after 11:00 p.m. at a Popeyes restaurant in Philadelphia, where police say a 28-year-old man was stabbed after he began attacking one of the fast food chain's employees after ordering from him. Unfortunately for the attacker-turned-victim, he messed up and found out.
USA Today states:
According to the report, several Popeyes employees were present and tried to help their co-worker during the altercation, which was captured on security video obtained by police.
“Other employees intervened and tried to push this 28-year-old back through the front door,” Small told the news station. “That's when the 34-year-old employee who was assaulted and attacked pulled a knife and stabbed the 28-year-old.”
According to the official, the man was hit in the torso and head. He fled the scene, but officers found him due to a trail of blood that led them to a residence in the area, NBC Philadelphia reported. It is unclear if he is facing charges at this time.
Unless there was a fried rat in his meal, we see no reason to attack a fast food worker on his lawn. Imagine if this man had brought this nonsense to Beanie Sigel's Grab & Roll, Wings & Bowls food truck? We would write about his obituary. I'm just saying.
Police Chief Inspector Scott Small says the cause of the altercation is still being investigated, but added that the 34-year-old officer was indeed acting in self-defence.
This man got Popeye Hawaii juice now.
