The long-teased collaboration will appear on Malone's upcoming country album, F-1 Trisout in August
Post Malone and Blake Shelton finally hit the bar with the official release of their multi-year collaboration, “Pour Me a Drink.”
The track is a classic country rocker, with Posty and Shelton trading lyrics about easing life's woes — and maybe finding your next big love — with the help of a full glass. (Expect Malone to perform it live when he delivers a free Bud Light-sponsored concert, “A Night in Nashville,” on July 16.)
Malone first teased the song on Instagram a few weeks ago, and earlier this month, he and Shelton played it twice in one night during CMA Fest in Nashville: First, they delivered a full-band version to Nissan Stadium and then shared a stripped-back acoustic performance at Shelton's Ole Red Bar during the Spotify House takeover. (The Nissan Stadium show will air as part of the CMA Fest special on ABC June 25.)
“Pour Me a Drink” is the second offering from Post Malone's highly anticipated country album, F-1 Tris, following his successful collaboration with Morgan Wallen, 'I Had Some Help'. Post Malone confirmed the album's title and release date — August 16 — earlier this week. However, no other details about the 18-track album, such as song titles or additional guests, have been released yet.
Malone has gone all over the country in 2024, kicking off this new era in April with a surprise performance at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. A few weeks later, he took the stage at Stagecoach, where he performed a series of country covers and was joined by Brad Paisley, Dwight Yoakam and Sara Evans.
He also appeared at the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards, played with Billy Strings at Bonnaroo, honored Dickey Betts with his cover of “Ramblin' Man” with Reba McEntire, and collaborated with Beyoncé on it. Cowboy Carter “Levi's Jeans” piece.
