Dua’s album also boasts the biggest opening week of any British act overall so far this year, surpassing Liam Gallagher and John Squire’s eponymous LP, which managed a first-week total of 39,400 in March.
Radical Optimism becomes Dua’s first LP to debut at Number 1 in the UK. 2020 record Future Nostalgia peaked at Number 1 in its second week on chart. Self-titled 2017 debut Dua Lipa reached Number 3 but showed extraordinary staying power, with 354 weeks on the Official Albums Chart (and counting).
This week’s best seller on vinyl, Radical Optimism also tops the Official Vinyl Albums Chart.
