It's been six years since Radiohead last played a concert together, and with the band members busy with a variety of side projects, a reunion doesn't seem to be on the horizon in the near future. However, during a Q&A session at Hay Festival Querétaro on Sunday, bassist Colin Greenwood revealed that the members of Radiohead recently got together to play music.
“We rehearsed two months ago in London, just playing the old songs,” Greenwood explained. “And it was a lot of fun, we had a great time.”
Greenwood cautioned that the band has no formal plans in mind. “We still talk all the time, we just need to make a plan and arrange some time together in advance,” the musician continued.
For now, Greenwood will spend the next few months touring as a member of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, replacing bassist Martyn Casey. He also plans to release an album. photo book a chronicle of Radiohead's 14-year period between 2003 and 2016.
Meanwhile, Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke and guitarist Jonny Greenwood are preparing to release their final album as The Smile, Cutswhich is due out on October 4. Yorke is also set to embark on a rare solo tour later this year.
