The track is her fourth single from her upcoming album Big Ideas
Remi Wolf released her latest single “Motorcycle” on Friday, along with an accompanying music video featuring cameos from singer/actress Victoria Justice and fellow Northern Californian Dora Jar.
“Motorcycle” is the fourth song Wolf has shared ahead of her upcoming third album Big Ideas, after “Cinderella”, “Toro” and “Alone in Miami”. The track is slow and lively, with little more than Remi's vocals, some drums and beach-y guitar lines. He did the track with Kenny Beats, Leon Michels and the Dap-Kings. On the track, Wolf sings about her love of motorcycles and the simple life she shares with a romantic partner.
“Lyrically the song delves into this internal divide that I experience a lot in my life,” Wolf said of the new song in a statement. “One side of me always wants to slow down and calm down and be in love and be normal and make babies and shit, while the other, very dynamic, part of me needs to be restlessly independent and stubborn and free. The song is basically a fantasy about me living in a reality where both sides of me can exist at the same time.”
Wolf spends much of the video in a house, hanging out by a pool next to Justice and Jar, who can be seen tanning, dancing and talking on an old landline.
Big Ideas Released on July 12th. He will support the album with a 20-date headlining tour starting in September in Santa Barbara and wrapping up in Los Angeles in October.
