Rick Ross isn't done with Drake.
The Miami rapper recently updated the cover on his diss track “Champagne Moments” directed at his former friend and collaborator. The original artwork was from a 2014 tweet that read, “please take a moment to enjoy: white guy who looks like drake.”
Now the updated cover is a cartoon rendering of the Toronto rapper with blonde hair, glasses and a bow tie.
Fans remember “Champagne Moments” as the first response to Drake's “Push Ups.” Ross dropped the song just hours after Drake released “Push Ups” and set the rap community on fire with heated comments and backlash. Although Ross didn't diss Drake on Future and Metro Boomin's “Everyday Hustle” guest appearance, the mere fact that he was on the album was enough for Drake to take shots at him.
“I might take your last girl and cuff her like I'm Ricky/ I can't believe he's coming in, that 50. Every song that charted, he got it from Drizzy/ Spend that lil' Check that have and stay out of my business,” Drake said on the final verse of “Push Ups.”
Ross then responded with “Champagne Moments,” where he referenced ghostwriters and Drake's deal with Universal Music Group, rapping, “Ghostwriters, they can find what you could have flossed/ The record label has a loss, are you in your bag? / You laborer who wants to map, don't make me laugh.''
He also referred to Drake as a “white boy” multiple times and revealed why he unfollowed his ex-boyfriend on social media during a rant in the song's outro. “You never want to be a-ah, anyway, na. That's why you had an operation to make your nose smaller than your father's nose, n—a.” Adding, “I unfollowed you, n—a, 'cause you sent mom—cease and desist to French Montana, n—a.” Send the police, n—a, hated for my dog's work.'
The ball is in Drake's court…again.
