Riley Keough has announced a six-date book tour for the memoir From Here to the Great Unknown, paying tribute to her late mother Lisa Marie Presley. Keough, who co-authored the memoir with Lisa Marie, will arrive Oct. 15 via Random House.
The book tour begins Oct. 9 in New York and makes stops in Memphis at Graceland, St. Louis, Nashville, and London, with the final stop on Oct. 20 in Los Angeles. The tour will include special guests, which have not yet been announced. “Riley will dive into a legendary tale of American royalty, family ties, the highs and lows of fame, love, grief, and the unbreakable bond between a mother and daughter,” reads a description of the upcoming events.
After complications related to a small bowel obstruction, Lisa Marie, the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, died in January 2023 at age 54. Keough became the sole trustee of her mother’s — and a portion of Elvis’ — estate, which includes ownership of Graceland, following Lisa Marie’s death and a legal battle with her grandmother Priscilla.
The memoir’s announcement arrives a day before the one-year anniversary of Lisa Marie’s death. The audiobook will be read by Keough, and will also feature Lisa Marie’s voice from when they were recording the tome.
“Riley got the tapes that her mother had recorded for the book, lay in her bed, and listened as Lisa Marie told story after story about smashing golf carts together in the yards of Graceland, about the unconditional love she felt from her father, about being upstairs, just the two of them,” according to the memoir’s description. “About getting dragged screaming out of the bathroom as she ran toward his body on the floor … Riley knew she had to fulfill her mother’s wish to reveal these memories, incandescent and painful, to the world.”
