The son of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has married the daughter of Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris.
Wood's son Tyrone married Harris's daughter Faye on Friday (July 26) in Marylebone, London. The paper reported Daily MailAround 30 close friends and family attended the civil ceremony, including Steve Harris, Ronnie and Sally Wood, and Fearne Cotton, Tyrone's sister-in-law.
Tyrone owns an art gallery in Mayfair and Faye is the co-founder of the Eauso Vert perfume company.
Tyrone's mother and Ronnie's ex-wife, Jo Wood, told the Daily Star Last March, the couple met on Raya, a private, membership-based dating app for “people in creative industries.” He proposed to Faye in December 2023.
“She makes fragrances and perfumes,” Jo said at the time. “And she’s the daughter of Steve Harris, the guitarist from Iron Maiden. Isn’t that great? She’s a lovely girl. She’s down to earth and driven to work. We all really like her.”
The wedding made headlines due to the rock royalty status of the families involved, with Ronnie and Steve in high spirits at the intimate ceremony (as captured in photos by the Daily Mail). A Michelin-starred reception followed at The George pub in Fitzrovia. Many comments on social media and in the tabloids praised the wedding for its relative “lack of ostentation”, as one commentator put it.
The Stones recently wrapped up their 2024 U.S. tour earlier this month. As for Harris, the bassist and Iron Maiden are set to begin a North American tour in October (get tickets here). here). Harris will also play a few shows in the US with his other band, British Lion.
