In his music, Romeo Santos often plays the part of the heartthrob and the broken heart — but after rumors hit the internet that he suffered a heart attack … he wasn't happy at all.
In an X post Sunday night, the legendary bachata singer shut down rumors that he was hospitalized following a heart attack ahead of his Aventura tour next month.
“You don't have the strength, let alone the wisdom, to hurt me,” she wrote on X. “If you think the tour tickets will be refunded because of this fake news, then you're even dumber than I thought 🤦🏻♂️.”
“If you keep thinking about how to destroy me, then you might go into cardiac arrest,” he added. “May God rebuke this.”
Santos coincidentally cleared up the rumors a day before April Fool's Day, after Latin America news agencies got rumor-based stories on social media claiming he had a heart attack at home.
Santos is set to embark on an extensive US tour with Aventura this summer, kicking off in Sacramento on May 1, before making stops in cities including Houston, Chicago, New York and Dallas.
The name of Aventura's tour, Cerrando Ciclos, or Closing Cycles, and the visuals seem to hint that the concert series will be a farewell tour for the iconic group that reunited in 2020.
On Monday Aventura too announced a new single, 'Brido con Augua' or 'I Toast With Water', is set to be released at midnight. The track marks the group's first since releasing “Volví,” their first song in 10 years, featuring Bad Bunny.
