No “nonsense” here – Sabrina Carpenter is gearing up for a new album.
The pop star sat down with Maya Hawke to find out in depth Interview conversation, in which he talked about how he feels about the songwriting process. “I feel a lot freer and more excited about what I'm making now because I've realized that genre isn't necessarily the most important thing,” she revealed. “It's about honesty and authenticity and whatever you're attracted to. There were a lot of genres on my last album and I like to think I'll continue that throughout my music writing.”
Carpenter then confirmed that she is working on a new album, before considering listening to her “gut” about her fifth studio album in 2022. Email I can't send. “Unfortunately, you have to allow yourself to get to that point where you can do that, and until I made this album, I wasn't where I felt like I could be,” he shared. “The other day, this guy was like, 'Life is so long. You just have to follow the things that make you feel something, whether that's good or bad.' And I said, “Wow, I always hear that life is short.” But it made me really excited about finding my way.”
The singer's Email I can't sendwhich includes hits like “Nonsense,” “Feather” and “Because I Liked a Boy” peaked at No. 23 on the Billboard 200 album chart, marking Carpenter's highest-charting effort on the chart.
