Sabrina Carpenter's 'Espresso' (Island) just won't cool off in the UK, where it's on track for a fifth consecutive week at No.1.
The summer hit leads an unchanged top 3 on the midweek chart, ahead of Billie Eilish's “Lunch” (Interscope) and Shaboozey's “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” (American Dogwood/Empire), respectively.
Based on sales and streaming data recorded by Official chart company, the highest new entry would have to go to Central Cee and Lil Baby with their collaborative single “BAND4BAND”. It's new to Official Chart Update No. 4,
From Central Cee's upcoming studio album with Columbia Records, “BAND4BAND” will become the British rapper's eighth Top 10 single and American hip-hop artist Lil Baby's fourth.
On the outside looking in on the top 10 is rising soul-pop singer Myles Smith with “Stargazing” (RCA). It is on the rise, and is forecast to improve 14-11, for a new high.
A hatful of US country stars have recently enjoyed chart success in the UK, a period that has been described as a renaissance for the genre in these parts. “A Bar Song” by Shaboozey, “I Had Some Help” by Post Malone & Morgan Wallen (#5 midweek via Republic Records), “Austin” by Dasha (#9 midweek via Warner Records) and, of course, Beyonce's chart-topping, rustic flavor Cowboy Carter The LP (Columbia/Parkwood Ent), has rounded out all the top 10 spots in the UK charts. Zach Bryan wants to get in on the action. The US country singer's “Pink Skies” (Warner Records) soars to a No. 31 debut on the charts. It is set to be his second entry into the UK Top 40 following his 2023 duet with Kacey Musgraves, “I Remember Everything”, which peaked at No.14.
Finally, Teddy Swims eyes a top 40 hit with “The Door,” the follow-up to “Lose Control,” his breakthrough blues number. “The Door” rises 45-33 on the charts and could give the American singer-songwriter his second appearance in the UK top 40. “Lose Control” reached No. 2 earlier this year.
