After more than two years since the first season premiered, Severance will finally return for its second season on Friday, January 17th, 2025. Along with confirming its premiere date, Apple TV+ has revealed a first look teaser trailer for the sci-fi series’ upcoming second installment.
The award-winning Apple TV+ series, which features direction from Ben Stiller and stars Adam Scott as Mark, is ready to return underground to Lumon Industries. When we left off in April of 2022, the scrappy team of friends had decided enough was enough, taking steps to get to the bottom of the mysteries at the unsettling company.
The first look at Season 2 shows some familiar faces, including Scott, Zach Cherry’s Dylan, Britt Lower’s defiant Helly, and John Turturro’s Irving.
The new footage was first teased on Tuesday, July 9th, when Apple TV tweeted out a moody video of a dark hallway and blinking red light. The footage released today shows quick flashes without revealing any specific plot points — Helly walking in her gown from the Season 1 finale, Irving laughing, and Patricia Arquette’s Harmony Cobel looking generally menacing. The clip also provides a look at a new addition to the cast, Gwendoline Christie, who appears onscreen as a Lumon employee.
Following its premiere on January 17th, 2025, new episodes of Severance will air every Friday through March 21, 2025. In the meantime, you can catch up on season one of Severance on Apple TV+ here.
