Somebody give Shaboozey a double shot of whiskey, because he's still dominating the charts with “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” seven months after its release.
The smash hit is at No. 1 for a 17th overall week atop the Billboard Hot 100. Over the course of the chart's 66-year history, the song is now the longest No. 1 by a solo artist, surpassing the record of 16 weeks set by “Last Night ” by Morgan Wallen in 2023.
“WHAT THE F—!” wrote the 29-year-old artist on X (formerly Twitter) in response to the exciting news. “I love you so much! Let's do it again,” he continued in another post, urging fans to watch out for his upcoming song “Good News,” which he had previously said on TikTok.
His Hot 100 achievement is just the cherry on top of a huge week for the star. He earned five 2025 Grammy nominations, including best melodic rap performance for his duet “Spaghettii” with Beyoncé, and a “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” was recognized for best country solo performance, best country song and song of the year. He is also nominated for Best New Artist at the ceremony.
“It's kind of crazy how much the song carried on its own,” he said Bulletin board of the track's sustained success before breaking Wallen's record. “We don't even do anything and they're like, 'Hey, you're aiming for week 17 now!' [Laughs] Some people will do a few different remixes or do the instrumental and a cappella and all these different versions. We reached out to a lot of people trying to do a remix early on, but we couldn't find anything that made sense. That 'A Bar Song' is still doing what it's doing is crazy.”
