Fans attending Tomorrowland over the weekend had no warning that dance music's biggest father-son duo were set to unleash on one of the festival's most intimate venues.
Speaking to One World Radio about Tomorrowland, Myles O'Neal announced that he would be joining his father Shaquille O'Neal, aka DJ Diesel, for a high-profile DJ set in the festival's Rave Cave.
“We have some special news,” Myles revealed to One World Radio host AdamK. “We're debuting our duet, a father-son duo.”
Known for its underground aesthetic and small spaces, the Rave Cave is one of the most intimate stages at Tomorrowland and offers a unique contrast to its massive main stage. Myles, who was a DJ at EDM.comAt the Miami Music Week party in early 2024, she humorously prepared her imposing father for the unique occasion, saying it would “be a surprise” for him.

With Shaq and Myles experiencing individual success on the turntables, the NBA Hall of Famer had previously suggested that the art of DJing was becoming a friendly competition at home.
“Everything is a competition in the O'Neal house,” Shaq told us in a 2022 interview. “We were born to be winners. From a young age, Myles was always the one to stray from the athletic path and focus on fashion and music. He's a natural born entertainer. I see him putting in the work on FaceTime and when he opened for me at LSU. I'm definitely proud of Myles.”
Adding to the excitement of the day, elsewhere on the festival grounds, Shaq was spotted bobbing his head in the crowd during Sullivan King’s performance. Going unnoticed was never an option for the NBA legend turned dubstep star, but his enthusiasm was infectious. Watch the video below.
