Snoop Dogg basically completes life's side quests at this point. The Dog tried his hand at the announcer's booth to broadcast a few innings of the Milwaukee Brewers vs. Cincinnati Reds game on Saturday (June 15).
Prior to his appearance at the stand in Milwaukee, Wisc., Snoop had an eventful performance at American Family Field. The Death Row legend threw out the ceremonial first pitch, signed some autographs after meeting members of the team and more before proceeding to call a few innings of Brewers baseball in the booth.
Snoop was the star of the show as he hilariously brought his smart game and charisma to the baseball diamond. Some calls that made headlines in his appearance included a stolen base. “Oh, it's taking off. Left. Let him get there. Well done, Perc. He won mine. You have to win mines,” said the sports fan without interruption.
A second standout moment came when Snoop raved about Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz's arm strength, which he compared to a “Rocket in his pocket” while the MLB player threw the ball to first, sending Brewers shortstop Bryce Turang back to the dugout.
“Oh, he's safe, he can't throw it away. He doesn't have that kind of arm,” Snoop initially thought. “Who is that with that missile. Oh Lord, he's got a rocket in his pocket!'
Snoop left the announcer's booth after the third inning. The Milwaukee Brewers cruised to a 3-1 win over the Reds to extend their lead in the NL Central.
This isn't the first time Snoop Dogg has played the role of sports broadcaster. He joined the Los Angeles Kings Pavilion for an NHL hockey game in December 2021, where he also shined. The iconic rapper is also set to report on the Summer Olympics for NBC.
