South by Southwest (SXSW) has announced a massive line-up of international artists set to perform at its 2025 edition. Yasmin Williams, Twin Shadow, La Sécurité, Shiho Yabuki, Justin Morales, Ali, Delivery and Gurriers are among the names on the bill, along with the debut show from Immersion, a new, post-Githead duo featuring Wire's Colin Newman and Malka. Last year's SXSW was mired in controversy when many artists pulled out because of the festival's ties to the US military and defense company RTX Corporation, particularly in light of their complicity in Israel's bombing of Gaza. Squirrel flower, Mamalarky, Shalomand an Irish rap trio Kneecap he was among the artists who spearheaded the successful boycott, which resulted in the festival severing its ties to the US military and arms manufacturers.
