We're just two weeks away from Taylor Swift hitting the road again for a summer European Eras tour. And, as you may have heard, since she last played an Eras show, Swift released her best-selling album of all time, Department of Tormented Poetsa massive 31-track collection that sets record after record in its first week.
So, of course, inquiring Swifties want to know if TTPD will be added to the Eras roster when the already chatty three-hour extravaganza hits the road again on May 9 with the first of four shows at the Paris La Défense Arena in Paris? If you've been playing this game long enough, you know that there are always easter eggs.
Although Swift has not commented, on Thursday night (April 25) Swift uploaded a 15-second YouTube Shorts clip in which it appeared that TTPD it has, indeed, slipped into rotation. Leading off the album's first single, the Post Malone-featuring “Fortnight,” finds Swift singing, dancing and playing piano on what looks like Lover and Folklore setup, a quick cut got a lot of attention. In a brief shot, Swift is seen standing next to a silver railing that eagle-eyed fans quickly assumed was shaped like TTPD logo. There was no composure in this news.
“GUYS THE OFFICE LITERALLY SAYS TTPD!?!?);$!? IS THE TTPD LOGO WE GET TTPD ON THE ERAS tour,” one Swiftie tweeted. Another pointed out that Swift appeared to be wearing the same shoes from her “Fifteen Days” video in the rehearsal clip, and another proved that there's no one in the game better at the long game than Taylor.
“THIS is what he means when he says he plans Easter eggs well in advance. AHHHHH!!!!,” they wrote, noting that another Swiftie noticed that Swift had seemingly teased this new era before the tour even started when she posted a picture of a box containing all of her different colored Eras microphones, including a white which “Hasn't had a place in the show…until now!!!” It was hard to tell if Swift was using that white microphone in the video because the clip is in grayscale, but that didn't stop wild speculation about what would come next in the singer's stadium-filled exit.
Others also noted that the video appeared to feature new choreography and yet-to-be-released costumes, further evidence that a new Era is potentially on the horizon. At press time, a representative for Swift had not been returned Advertising signhis request for comment on whether TTPD will be included in the upcoming series of performances.
