Taylor Lindsey has been appointed President and CEO of Sony Music Nashville (SMN), effective January 2025. He replaces Randy Goodmanwho announced in September that he would retire at the end of the year after running the company since 2015.
Additional, Ken Roboldhas been named president and CEO of Sony Music Nashville.
Lindsey will oversee Sony Music Nashville, as well as leading Christian music label Provident Entertainment. He will remain in Nashville and report to Rob Stringerpresident of Sony Music Group.

Lindsey has been head of A&R for SMN since 2021, most recently as vice president. He has worked closely with Sony artists such as Old Dominion, Luke Combs, Megan Moroney, Maren Morris and Mitchell Tenpenny, among others.

Before joining SMN in 2013, Lindsey, who has been featured Bulletin boardWomen in Music and Country Power Players lists, worked in A&R at BMG Music Publishing, where she represented Grammy-winning songwriters such as Hillary Lindsey and Tony Lane.
Robold, who was also Bulletin boardHer Country Power Players list, she joined SMN in 2015 as Executive Vp and COO. Previously, he was president of Zac Brown's Southern Ground Artists and spent 22 years at Universal Music Group.
The news means that all three major record labels in Nashville are run or co-headed by women: Cindy Mabe is president/CEO of Universal Music Group Nashville and Chris Lacy is co-chairman/co-chairman of Warner Music Nashville together Greg Nadel. It also means that all of Nashville's Big Three heads have changed hands in the past two years, with Lacy on Ben Klein replacing president/CEO John Esposito to Warner in late 2022 while serving as president/CEO of UMGN Mike Dungan vacated his post in 2023, with Mabe officially taking over on April 1, 2023.
