Taylor SwiftFan-favorite track “Long Live” could use an addition: “Long live all the mountains we've moved, *plus all the Swifties on the hilltops stepped out to join in the Eras tour fun.“
After two shows in Munich, Germany, over the weekend, the 34-year-old pop star gushed over a Instagram post about it headline-making crowds drew both nights. In addition to the huge crowd gathered inside the Olympiastadion, tens of thousands of other unscheduled spectators flocked to a nearby park on both Saturday (July 27) and Sunday (July 28) in the hope of catching a glimpse of the show's longest run from three hours to Olympiakos.
“What a magical experience playing in Munich,” she began her post, sharing photos from her performances, as well as a snap of the park's hills teeming with Swifties. “The crowd of 74,000 on the night at the stadium was so passionate and so generous to us. And I had no idea before I got to Munich that there's a huge park behind the stadium, but about 50,000 people came out and heard the show from the hillside both nights.”
“I've watched so many videos of the crowds out there fully participating in the show from afar, all that joy,” Swift added. “I feel truly grateful for the unexpected memories this tour has created. We have 11 shows on the European leg of the tour, starting *August* with 3 shows in Warsaw!”
That accent on “August” is a nod to the 14-time Grammy winner's favorite Folklore song with the name of the month. Fans online have already started celebrating the approach of the “August” season, and the song — which has so far peaked at No. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 — has been known to receive a boost in streams during the eighth month of the year.
As Swift mentioned, her dates for the European Seasons are wrapping up soon, with just three stops in Warsaw, Vienna and London. In October, it will return to North America for the final rounds through the US and Canada before closing the trip for good in December.
Unfortunately, her joyous shows in Munich were quickly followed by tragedy in Southport, England, where three children died and 10 others were injured in a fatal stabbing at a Swift-themed dance class on Monday (July 29). According The Associated Press, Merseyside Police arrested a 17-year-old boy from Cardiff after arresting him at the scene.
“The horror of yesterday's attack in Southport continues to wash over me and I am completely shocked,” the “Anti-Hero” singer wrote in a message on Instagram Stories the next day. “The loss of life and innocence and the horrific trauma that was caused to everyone who was there, the families and the first responders. These were just little kids in a dance class. I am at a complete loss as to how I will ever convey my condolences to these families.”
