With its latest luxurious edition Department of Tormented PoetsTaylor Swift — aka the president — shows fans what some of the album's songs sounded like before leaving her office.
The pop star revealed three limited editions of her new album on Thursday (May 16), with three first rough vocal notes of “The Black Dog,” “Cassandra” and “Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?” The final versions of the songs already appear on the 31-track anthology edition Tormented Poetsbut the new audio notes show listeners what they sounded like midway through Swift's writing process.

The fall comes in the middle Tormented PoetsThird week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking the biggest streaming week ever since the chart first began counting units in December 2014 upon its debut. The album has also broken several other records since it dropped on April 19, including her own previous benchmark for one-week vinyl sales.
Last week, Swift continued her Eras world tour, playing her first set of concerts since her release Tormented Poets in Paris. While there, she debuted several new numbers from the album—including “Down Bad,” “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” and “So High School”—which she would go on to perform at each of other tour stops, including this weekend's shows in Stockholm.
New Tormented Poets The set earned praise from many Swifties, as well as Swift's boyfriend, Travis Kelce. “It's absolutely unbelievable,” the Kansas City Chiefs said on a recent episode of it New Heights podcast. “I loved every bit of it… I don't know if it's just getting better or if I keep forgetting what it's like. It was electric in there. Paris was on a whole other level.”
