There is nothing creepier than a paranormal encounter. Whether a visual appearance or a disturbing sensation, these mysterious occurrences can be a traumatic exposure that leaves anyone in distress.
Typically, these cases fade into the depths of one's memory banks, a victim of time like most other human experiences. However, each year, as the temperatures drop and the nights get longer, the appetite grows to share scary stories so that others feel that chill.
In the spirit of the spooky season, we scoured the roster of America's biggest Halloween EDM festival to find the scariest stories from their nights on the road. From sinister sleep demons to creepy cannibal haunts, here are the terrifying stories of some of the acts performing at this year's Escape Halloween.
Escape is scheduled for October 25-26 at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino. You can now get your tickets for the 18+ festival here.
Awful
“Once, while I was on tour in Germany, I was completely exhausted from having to go to the airport immediately after the show. When I landed and finally got to my hotel room, I lay down at the foot of the bed with my head facing the sky. I stepped on the door and fell asleep, thinking I was falling into a dream.
I realized I was actually wide awake when the door to my hotel room opened and a large dark monster made of static started crawling towards me.
As it got closer to my face, the noise got louder: static mixed with screams and horrible, negative words like “this is it, you're going to die.” I was completely frozen, unable to move, overcome with terror to the point of madness.
Finally, the sleep paralysis went away and I was able to move again. Terrified, I screamed, “GET AWAY FROM ME!” To my surprise, there was someone standing at the door: a cute older German housekeeper with a confused and surprised expression on her face.
She hesitantly said she would come back later while I tried to apologize and explain what I had just seen, but that only seemed to scare her more. “I'm still not sure if the sleep paralysis demon was real or not, but I can safely say that I completely scared the housekeeper.”

Softer and harder: “T-Pain invited me to DJ on his Wiscansin Tour and the last stop was in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We were all recommended to stay at this hotel which was right across the street from the venue so it was easy to travel to the show.
We had arrived the day before the show and just hung out at the hotel, since it was the middle of winter and very cold outside, my tour manager and I walked into our room and it already felt a little bad, the bed frame was very strange and had some strange upside down symbols that made us look at each other confused. The hallways looked eerie, the lighting was yellow and the hotel was very dated. My tour manager felt very uneasy so she took out one of those Bibles that some hotels offer and we blessed the room.
Later we got hungry so we walked to the restaurant that was in the hotel, after eating we chatted a little with our waiter and asked her what Wisconsin is famous for and she proceeds to tell us that we were staying at the infamous hotel next door. that Jeffrey Dahmer lured his victims and we stayed in the room right below the room where he was murdering people.
Not only that, right down the street was Dahmer's apartment where he committed all the horrible acts of cannibalism and murder, we were told that that apartment building was no longer there and was just an empty space.
The next day at the show, the liaison took me and my tour manager to the green room and to get there you had to go down the stairs to the basement and go through this huge indoor pool that was empty and full of graffiti, we They said the place we were playing was also haunted and that a little boy and a man hung themselves downstairs by the pool area.
I love the friends I made there, but sorry Wisconsin, I don't think I'll be back anytime soon.”

“After a show in Vietnam, I returned to my hotel around 3 a.m., exhausted from the night. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I heard it: a constant flow of water. I looked and saw that the faucet on the bathroom was full. How strange. I wanted to get up and turn it off, but I was too tired. When I turned around, I felt like something was wrong, like I wasn't alone, but sleep stopped me before I could realize it.
