Taylor Swift once again dominated the MTV Video Music Awards nominations, taking home 10 awards, including eight for her Post Malone collaboration “Fortnight” and its video. Post Malone earned an additional nomination (Best Collaboration, for “I Had Some Help,” featuring Morgan Wallen), placing him in second place overall, behind Ariana Grande, Eminem and first-time nominee Sabrina Carpenter, who won six nominations each. Close behind are Megan Thee Stallion and SZA, with five each, and Blackpink's Lisa, Olivia Rodrigo and Teddy Swims with four.

Chappell Roan was among the nominees for the first time, receiving two nominations, including Best New Artist. Charli XCX also appears in two categories: Best Direction (“360”) and Best Editing (“Von Dutch”). See the full list of nominations below.

Taylor Swift was the big winner at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. She was the most nominated artist going into the night and turned seven of her eight nominations into wins. Her biggest win was for Video of the Year for “Anti-Hero.”

The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards will take place at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, September 10, at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York.
