The Big Bang Theory's Kate Micucci has shared the news that she is now cancer free after first revealing her lung cancer diagnosis earlier this month.
On Dec. 9, Micucci, who played Lucy on the long-running CBS series, shared the news of her “surprise diagnosis” on TikTok, saying she was in the hospital recovering from lung cancer surgery the day before.
He said at the time: “They caught it too early. It's really weird because I've never smoked a cigarette in my life, so you know, it was a surprise. But, also, I guess it happens, and so the best news is that they caught it early, they got it out — I'm fine.”
Now, Micucci has shared a new update sharing the good news: “I have great news, which is that I am cancer free!”
“Surgery last week went great,” he continued in a new TikTok. “All reports came back that it worked. I don't need to do any more treatment. So big thanks to all my doctors and nurses and everyone who took really good care of me. And thanks for realizing it early because I'm very, very lucky and I know it. I'm really thankful that things turned out the way they did. I feel really good today and honestly I'm so excited and really grateful. So thank you all for all the prayers and well wishes. I'm just glad I can tell you some good news.”
